Default Industry Minister admits to illegally copying music

Thought this was a cute headline:
Industry minister admits to breaking copyright law to build iPod collection

Seems as if the Industry Minister has been copying songs from his CD collection and putting it on his iPod. I did not realize this was not legal if for personal use, but the Minister says it is so and is guilty.

that's stupid...everyone rip music...it's not because you are a minister that you can't do thing like that. Some time opposition is really searching for something to say because they have nothing good to bring.

I don't think the opposition in this case has made a big fuss; more if a cute story of how easy it is for people to break copyright laws...this guy is helping to draw up a new one.

I'm pretty sure format shifting is not currently illegal under Cdn law.

As of today it's not, but that under new bill they're trying to push through it will be.
