i heard about ppl getting 8800/9800 cards, as for gt2xxx? no idea.

Also this is one fewer Nvidia company to sell the 470's and 480's... first XFX is out and now BFG, two major time brands. Looks like Evga will get most of the sales.

Any time we lose competition in a market we lose.

How does Zotac and PNY's warranties/service stack up to BFGs? I know that EVGA is good, and I would like to see them stay that way.

It is a lost but not that big. If GPU's were car manufacturers we wouldn't have the big 3 but the big 8. Now it is just the big 6.

Well, that's it for BFG. They're not going to be able to hang on by just selling PSUs and boutique PCs; they just don't have the market presence in either of those segments. I wouldn't be surprised if we see an announcement from them in the next few months saying that they're shutting down for good. A damn shame too. I'd rather see EVGA going out of business than BFG.

Other ATI cards have Lifetime Warranties?!? Other than, XFX, like who?

With BFG gone, only EVGA has Nvidia cards exclusively? Uh oh... EVGA cards might go up in price???

Btw, if I have a 'defective' BFG 7950GT (was purchased, used), I just contact BFG Tech and (eventually) send it in? I guess I should try a RMA soon and see what happens???? :)

Visiontek has lifetime warranty as well.

EVGA cards wouldn't go up in price. XFX still sells NVIDIA GPUs, just not FERMI. And there's also manufacturers too that sell NVIDIA GPUs such as ASUS, Gigabyte, etc.

BFG's lifetime warranty is for one owner too. I doubt you'd be able to RMA that defective 7950GT.

For GTX 2XX owners, I think you're SOL.
