In slightly more seriousness: LCD in the kitchen can actually be useful for recipes and knowing what you need to buy at the grocery store. But it's probably still overkill, hehe

Explains why my missus is so short and small....

I wonder how much we will see screens though, especially when things like OLEDs and such get cheaper in the future. I can see the fridge getting one in particular (like you mentioned recipes and grocery lists, keeping track of expiry dates, family picture screensavers, etc)

Good to see HWC getting in on this at the ground level.

I'd try to overclock the washer and dry so it wouldnt take as long to do the laundry. Takes you an hour and a half to do your laundry, well i over clocked mine so it only takes 45 minutes!

If your thinking of building a toaster out of your modem its been done a friend of mine helped in the the fermware fore it. Cant find on wick or youtube or google but it has been done.
