I am no NV fanboy, but not liking news like this. When it rains it pours for Nvidia.

Who's the other board partner that hasn't made any announcements on the Fermi cards yet? Gigabyte? MSI?

yes the big ones with no announcement are MSI and Gigabytes. I would really like to know if it is Nvidia cleaning the place or a board partner decision. XFX was one of the top ones with EVGA, FAIL. Good one for the red team. Hope XFX does not suffer to much.

There are a few actually. However, at this point I understand that it may have been just a miscommunication between some departments regarding the release of PR materials.

TLDR? Huge Die Sizes + small yields = expensive chips. So, XFX said "bugger off"
Haha I liked that one

hehe, petunia... what a great name for the 4GB 5970 that comes in a gun-shaped case.

Its nice to see some companies really think about the products that they're going to sell as opposed to just slapping stickers on reference boards.

Maybe it has something to do with the supply from Nvidia's end. GPU shortage + slim profit margin = no thanks we'll keep cashing in on ATi

Sky, you figure they will be waiting or are they just flat out not going to be selling them? If so, I think Nvidia will be getting a bit pissy at them... why let them avoid the high end and only sell low-end? Just my thoughts, I have no clue how these companies really work.
