Because people like getting money, and frivolous lawsuits are one way of accomplishing that (if they win).

Well I just checked out the site for Snow Leapord, which is probably the biggest competition. Guess what, $30 (US). Oh, and a family pack is $50. Windows 7 Home Premium OEM is $105, family pack $300 (according to newegg.com.) Yes, I know you need a mac to install it; and no I am not a mac fanboy, but still

I don't mind M$'s prices, but would like to see an actual disc ship with pre-installed versions. I've lost count of how many recovery partitions I've nuked and paved.

I think M$ went out of their way to make other browsers work with their product, and all the anti-trust suits filed since day one are BS.

This may get me some flak, but I also think their OSes are coded pretty well. I can't remember my last BSOD. It's when we add all the security updates that the functionality suffers.

I paid less for win7 64 premium than I did for win vista 32 when it was released. I was able to get the win7 for $121 including taxes and shipping. Should this lawsuit come to trial and fail, I would like to see Microsoft turn around and counter-sue every single person that was involved especially the lawyers!

Don't get me wrong, some antitrust and class-action suits are based on legitimate beefs but this one is complete and utter bovine poo and I for one would not support it!

Another lawsuit? Geesh, Microsoft should start their own law firm. They must have enough of them on retainer :)
