Not at all! If they are close in performance, it will be a very EASY call in AMD's favor. Why pay $700 when you can pay $400?

Once these chips hit the streets they will more then likely drop well bellow the speculated prices, Nvidia has been around long enough that they know how to work the market properly... Lets see what happens.

I predict that they will be lower priced than the rumors are saying- probably under 600- and since we're speculating wildly, I think that they will cause male pattern baldness as well.

I will buy one for sure ... but I'm not in the hurry anymore I have my 2 x 5870 to play with ....

We should do a count on the threads created on these cards for the next few weeks. I'll only pay any real attention to the benches from legit sites, or benches that are vetted by legit sites I trust.

Prices? Will be April if we are lucky to see what these things will really cost to obtain.

Also, synthetic benchmarks are garbage. Show me real world FPS results from current-gen games, especially DX10.1/11 titles. Ill wait with others for real reviews to come out before even thinking about Fermi (and i always laugh at the codename cause i think of "Fergie" lol. Ew.)

I think I read something about ATI saying something about "having something up [their] sleeves" but are waiting until Nvidia launches their DX11 cards. Does anyone else recall reading anything similar to this statement? BTW, this was a long time ago, when ATI first launched the 5000 series.
