Well, they couldn't have entered air cooling in a more boring fashion... HDT... how innovative?

It's not as if the H50 was terribly innovative either.

I guess a mirror-finished base should help at least... still, even aesthetically this looks IDENTICAL to the Hyper 212+.

Just like Sushi said; it looks like a Hyper212+ Does this mean we can expect the same cooling potential, but at a Corsair premium price tag?

Well, some sort of nickel coating, a black/white fan, a neat stamped pattern on it, something. I know air coolers don't vary much but it does not get any more boring than that.

Guys....it uses four EIGHT mm heatpipes and not the smaller SIX mm ones found on the CM 212+.
IF the base design has been done right and finished properly it may just be a VERY good cooler.
IF priced right...it may just give the 212+ a LOT of competition! ;)
