Factoring in efficiency, that PSU was actually under a load of about 630W, or 10W above its rating. And that's assuming the reading from the Seasonic Power Angel meter (which is not especially accurate) was correct.
Anyway, I doubt that this card will pull any more than 200W under typical gaming load, if even that, which means that with an average system, you'll be seeing about 300-400W of power usage while gaming. Perfectly fine for a 500W PSU.
