Default Biostar Announces TH55B HD Motherboard

With Intel's new Core i5 and Core i3 products coming into being, motherboard manufactures seek to provide new solutions for the end user. Biostar looks to appeal to the growing HTPC market with their new TH55B HD Board. Built into a MicroATX form factor the TH55B has many features which are more common on the higher end boards out there today. CPU... [ Read full article ]

Biostar finally made it to HWC news. I like that red and white color scheme on that board, probably the best color scheme Biostar ever produced.

Here's hoping HWC will do a review on at least one of the lesser known board manufacturers comparing it to the high end ones.

5 phase power design...that's not exactly a recipe for an OCing board, is it?

I've used a few Biostar boards in the past but I've had about a 50% failure rate unfortunately. You can save $10-15 today but it will cost you later.

I agree with Punk 100%, the scheme really matches, I hope Foxcon users don't mind it lol.

I've overclocked the hell out of my board, TPower i45 many times, not to the limits of extreme cooling, but pushed it really high with air, done it with water cooling too, I haven't a single hiccup so far *knock on wood*..

Don't let the number fool you. Its their own flavour of 5phase power, if you follow the source feel free to read the feature list.
Suffice to say a lot of the lesser known manufacturers are doing a good job with gear these days.
Biostar , ASRock etc etc..

Except if you have to RMA the board, then you are screwed. Having to pay $40 for an RMA

Perhaps so. I once used a Biostar T-Force 570 for a test rig which overclocked very well. The Biostar boards that failed on me or my customers were not of the T-Force model range.
