look like a Wii. But once again I can't understand why they make a dual 2.5 toaster.

That's what I was gonna say lol, looks like a Wii in that stand.

Otherwise that's pretty cool, the way bays are made it looks like HDDs easily hotswappable too.

Pretty useless unless you already have a coupla 2.5" drives lying around or have the money for a couple SSDs.
I could buy a single 2GB 3.5" drive in a single encloser and it would be smaller. Supporting only 1TB for each drive isn't very future proof either.

It is future proof for a long while as we don't even have a 500GB 2.5inch SSD yet let alone a 1TB drive.

Well now we have 640 2.5HDD and 1TB SSD but only on PCI-e for 1tb ssd. Maybe soon we will have 1TB 2.5HDD.

No the max I have seen in store for 2.5 inch drives is 256 GB SSD so right now the max you can have for this drive is 512GB. So 2TB of SSD is very future proof because it will probably be over a year till we see 1TB SSDs in 2.5 inch and they will be bloody expensive.

Well,
If you want performance, that is fast and sustainable streaming, the dual bay is a good RAID 0 setup.
We make recordings and stream to disk at sustained rates of 100MB/sec and 250MB/s; hard to get from a single drive.
In a mobile system, size, weight and power rule supreme!
