Default Mushkin Copperhead Keeping Memory Cool, Literally

Innovation and performance go hand-in-hand with Mushkin. Not to be outdone by the likes of Corsair and their Hydro Block for memory modules, Mushkin releases Copperhead; a memory cooling setup for the masses.

It is all in the name, Copperhead. Knowing that copper has the greatest thermal conductance available to everyday users, Mushkin has chosen... [ Read full article ]

6GB (2GB x 3) PC3-12800 @ 1600 MHz CL 6-7-6-18

Those are some pretty gorgeous timings. The price is brutal though. (I assume it's at the top of the price bracket listed 220 Euros = 345$ CAD)

Well, at least they only used copper and gave it when looks to be g1/4 threads. And unless they've really done something funny with the internals, the design should be reasonably free-flowing (prolly not much worse than a chipset block). Which is more than can be said for other manufacturers (cough*OCZFlex*cough*). Still, pretty dubious performance benefits, and the people who will spring for this are probably going to be wanting higher frequencies on their RAM.

I'm sure they'd cool quite well just how they are, unconnected to a loop of any sort..

Redundant indeed... but so are a lot of things extreme consumers purchase, so whatever!
