Because they're getting millions of posts in free press from people commenting on their looks. Just like any press is good press for Hollywood, any attention is good attention when you're competing in a saturated part of the PC market. And quite often, a mention of their appearance will go hand in hand with an acknowledgment of their performance. Presto - free press and advertising, in a way that no pop-up banner will ever manage. It's kind of like the Buckley's cough syrup slogan - "It tastes awful. And it works".

The colours are pretty bad I have to admit.

Ive found their colours have grown on me. I don't mind them at all anymore. I would prefer to have the light brown turned to black, but i actually really like the brown blades, i think its a nice colour if you have black fan grills like i do.

I actually think it looks good by itself, terribly out of place in a rig but very prominent colours. As far as the fans themselves go, lots of features but SFLEX fans still beat them.

But works than lots of other fans in the same price range/league..

I actually don't mind the color, different looking really.. Lots of overclockers like to have good airflow than the looks, as long performance is there... Noctua works..

Noctua made a move just in time.. with the Corsair case and other cases on the market out that use 140mm fans.. great

Good to hear.

judging from specs they seem no better than regular 140mm fans, but there P12 line up blown me away.

lets hope for the best :)

I don't hate Noctua fans but be honest the Gentle Typhoons, SFLEX SFF12D/E and all Noiseblocker fans beat it.
