Now I can finally digitize my Pet Shop Boys 12" Singles collection! lol

But seriously this is kinda cool as I do have a few milk crates of albums I have not listened to in almost 2 decades. And save for a few stand out releases, I have not re-bought them in digital form. Now I know my brother was the last one with a turntable... I'll have to ask him about it.

Only the fact that it's a stand-alone dongle is new here folks.... there have been USB versions of turntables and cassette decks for quite some time.

Ya I know. And I doubt I'll ever go to the trouble of digitizing my scratchy vinyl.

Ah yes but this is compact AND only $35 and it does all forms that accept these inputs rather than having to get separate adapters/devices

Never looked at any other digitizing old records etc, but is that the typical price range?
It would seem to me like USB turntables/ cassetee desks etc would cost a lot more

Yes they are a lot more. They typically run around $100 when you can find them on sale. That's why I was curious about the ability to use a turntable without the requirement of a phono pre-amp. It should be noted though that folks with old turntables kicking around might have to replace the stylus first which could add to the cost as well as being pretty damn hard to find these days.
