FiXT is taking care of them. I am multi-tasking like mad here.

Wow, the Ludwig Fuchs tech showing the real time lighting effects from a real world source onto a graphically created object was freaking amazing.

This. I thought that was pretty amazing. I played around with my Microsoft LifeCam software to accomplish something like this, but nothing this accurate and real-time. Simply amazing. I think Nvidia is grabbing onto an entirely different market now, and for good reasons.

why dont we let 3d die. Not only does it look worse than current simulated 3d but the tech doesnt work well. The stuff I've read about the 3d camera has been saying its poor and overpriced

Interested in the new Nvidia architecture, though sort of wondering why they had a workstation card there.

We have to remember that Nvidia's main market will now be split a number of ways. Today's announcement was all about using the GPU as a cGPU. It was to show everyone that there is much more to the GPU than just rendering pretty pictures. The part that really got me was how they showed the benefits of using a GPU to diagnose breast cancer. The amount of additional computational power you get allows for nearly 10x the number of diagnoses to be made in the same time as using existing CPUs.

We all know what a GPU can do for gaming and there is very little reason to reiterate that at a conference like this.
