i am assuming they have the tjunction sorted in the newest beta so all you G0 owners might want to grab it for correct temp reporting. or just add 15C to your core temps with the offset manually

Fan speed now seems to be properly reported on both the DQ6-P33, and the P965-S Dark.

I have just downloaded Speedfan 4.33 to add to my new arsenal of OCing and Benchmarking tools. Never really playing in the exiting wold of OC before I am also new to all these new tools. Some of which are very, very intimidating.

SpeedFan for instance, I am certain I can do a lot of damage to my System if I do things wrong. Unfortunately my DL did not come with a readme or instruction document and now I am scared to use it. I have a pretty good idea what the temp areas refer to but they are not labled and I want to be certain.

I tried to go into Clock page to identify my motherboard (Asus A8N-e) but it is not listed there. Only indications I get are: Temp1, Temp2, ect...

Are there any tutorial packages out there to help us Noobs out with these tools.

First step is under the info tab. "Get config" and follow the directions there. It will set you up to get a # to input in order to see if there are any custom configs for your motherboard.

Speedfan's fan control isn't used all that much any more as any newer board is going to have settings for fan control in bios.

I use it mainly for the chart function to monitor temps while stess testing, but be sure to use coretemp first and then compare that to the temps in speedfan and adjust speedfan accordingly.

I just verified, and there are a ton of user configs for your motherboard. You'll just need to register to get access (never had any kind of junk-mail/spam from them) and try out a couple to see which one(s) seem(s) to work best.

Thanks Steve, will give that a try. I DLd one already, the latest one and it rearranged a few things but does not label the temps with their area. Is this an option or are we stuck with trying to guess what sensors are being used. I will try a few more yet to see what it all does. Oh, and I just found the F1 option with the instructions. Guess it helps to read the pop ups in the start screen. LOL

Ok so I have tryed a few setups, not sure how to tell the diff at this point.

None really tell me what the locations are.

I have been able to figure out using ASUS probe which is my CPU (idel @ 32deg) and MoBo (idel @ 25), I can tell which are my Raptor (idel @ 27)and Caviar (idel @25) but it still leaves me with 3 sensors unidentified.

Simply labeled: Temp 3 (idel @ 34 Deg), Temp 1 (idel @40) and Core (idel @35)

Temp3 and Temp 1 are both Chip IT8712F-I, ISA Bus @ $290 this is the same info as the MoBo environment

Core is Chip AMD K8 on a PCi Bus @ $0

HUH, WHat?

???

I mostly use it as a fast way to get my HDD temps.
