That is good news, I sure hope Congo delivers good performance and manages power very efficiently.

I'm sure it'll perform well for a netbook, but its battery life will probably be pretty poor compared to the competition.

Why is it that Ferrari notebooks are always paired with AMD CPUs? And $799USD for a netbook...So I'm spending like an extra $300 just so I can say that I have a Ferrari notebook?

Ferrari has had corporate sponsorship from AMD since 2002. Acer is a sponser as well.
I really like the notebook but not a huge fan of Acer or AMD.

I got an Acer Ferrari One 200. Has 1.2Ghz AMD Dual Core (Athlon x2 L310) processor, 4GB DDR2 RAM (@ 800 MHz), and 250GB SATA hard drive. Has M780G chipset with ATI HD3200 graphics (386MB dedicated, c.700MB shared). All for £450. Can handle full 1080p movies in any format, and blisteringly fast. Even an option to connect an external GPU of even higher spec. Oh, and a 1366x768 HD LED screen. Weighs in at 1.46 Kg Runs Windows 7 64-bit. Now tell me which Nvidia Ion laptop will have those kinds of specs...?

Default F200 & Ubuntu?

I'm just wondering if anyone has attempted to run Ubuntu on one of these F200's yet...

Either the latest stable release or the netbook remix...

Thanks!

Default UBUNTU 10.04

10.04 (64 bit) works out of the box. I use it for professional music production and video editing. As I said no complaints and I can recommend it! Cheers!

Which softwares are you using as for music production? Are those tools quite "high end"? How would you compare those tools vs let's say protools, cubase..?
