There is also the new GTX285. It requires 3x6 pci-e power cables....

Yah I saw that which is just as nutty.

Obvious these boards are for FPS junkies or people who love to bench and get as much as possible.

how many PSUs have 2 8 pin and 12 6 pin power cables and all the extra to power everything else in the case?

If you want "unlimited overclocking" you need 640W for 1 GPU...
