Holy shit.

When you look up the term Overkill in a dictionary, it should have a pic of that board right next to the definition.

Nope, its close, but not quite yet...

They need to make a Dual Processor version, with dual X58 chipset(for all the PCIe lanes) for Xeon E55xx user's such as myself, before they can call it overkill.

From what I've read, I think 3x285 is about on par or slightly above 2x295. Asus does have the ASUS MARS which is a 295 with 285's in it. They're like $1700 apiece.

Well I know I don't have quad sli but I do have tri sli with a dedicated physx card. That's why I said I kinda in a way have 4 cards working together but nothing to argue over.

This mobo is larger than EATX and has 2 NF200 chips in it so I think it would still get bottlenecked at the lack of true PCIx lanes.

I think thats the Asus "Mars" GPU, 2 x 285's
As for the performance, thier is a Link I was reading of Kingpin and Shaminos Becnhmark results....+50K 3DMk 06.

Just having 4 cards does NOT mean you have a 4-way SLI. It is a 3-way SLI and a physx card. To get 4-way SLI you need the cards connected in SLI. Just having 4 cards means nothing.
This is correct, Evga Classified is capable of 3 x GPU's in SLI + dedicated PhsyX....not 4 x SLI

Not necessarily, with the new Drivers the Bridge is no longer required...

Hey Sky....what would we be looking at to power this beast:
I7 @ 3.8 - 4Ghz
4 x GTX 285 Quad Sli
1 x 9800GT PhysX

crazy..?....I would imagine that with a ton of additional Fans a 1.2kW would be cutting it very close, well a 1.5kW would be overload on the house Circuit?
2 x PSU's..perhaps....?..

Honestly, this comment is FAR from appropriate. And I hate to call you out on the forums but I feel obligated, since you are obviously new to these forums I would like to point out that it is a place based on respect and if you continue to be a jackass as you did above you'll find me right there behind you making your time here less fun. I think you should apologize like a good little boy or find yourself the door and never return.

I'll also be reporting your post as unhelpful.

Yeah..the "if you paid any attention you would know this comment" isn't really necessary....as Encorp stated, a simple apology will clear things up....God knows I've done a couple of times (usually after a few too many beers) ....wheres Chilly? ;)

so just had a quick boo through the Evga Forum on this new Board, it will only utilize the new Classified 285 Cards in Quad Sli....
So....the cost for a complete upgrade will be outrageous...

New Board - .6K
4 x 285 Classified - 2K
new 10 Slot Case - .25K
new PSU - .5K

....ouch!!! Those Vantage Benchmarks will come at an extreme cost indeed !

So what is so special about 4-way SLI on this or any othe board that could do 4 way sli with 4 single slot cards? Other than the new 4 way-SLI bridge It must just be software limits. I wonder what the difference of 2 NF200 chips will do also.

16x Lanes to 7 PCI-e Slots...(not sure if its all 7 or just 4 of 7 )...n extra heat, perhaps why they added the Fan.
