Wonder when this technology will port over to the desktop users?

People are already willing to drop $1G on the Corei7 975 CPU's - one would think that a six core consumer level CPU would have some appeal as well?

These bad boys are still socket F, using BGA instead of AMDs standard PGA processor type. Perhaps with AMDs next-generation architecture -crossfingers- they'll having something like this available.
