BFG Tech LS-1000 and LS-1200 Power Supplies

The BFG LS-1000 and LS-1200 are the 3rd 1000W and first greater than 1000W units we have seen from BFG. The most recent 1000W unit we saw from BFG, the EX-1000, was the second iteration of the Frequency Conversion technology that we saw first with the ES-800. While that unit shared the ground breaking features of the ES-800 (zero load ability of the minor rails, variable switching frequency, DC-DC conversion for the minor rails, and high efficiency at loads as light as 10%) it was bit rougher around the edges than we would have hoped for from the second iteration of that design. Today though, we are looking at another 1000W (and a 1200W) unit from BFG that come not only as OEM products but as products included in BFG's high end Phobos computer systems. These power supplies differ from the ES/EX series as they use a more tried and true double forward independently regulated topology that should result in very solid products. However, without many of the groundbreaking features found with the ES and EX series will these units really shine?
