Kingston has been making low-profile ram for months and months and has been putting them (kits of 2 sticks) into packaging originally meant for a single stick (50% less material?)... Nice try at playing catch-up Super Talent... lol.

Here's hoping even more manufacturers take an increasingly eco-friendly route. Shame it's limited to this one particular line of RAM at the moment, though.

Thinner PCB, less Cu, no heatsinks, no marketing packaging?

Translation: They cut costs everywhere possible, to the point where it's no longer competitive with enthusiast offerings, but "Green" can be sold for more than "Budget".
