Intel fails yet again. "Software implementation" sounds like an excuse to me. If PCIe SSDs can be made to work and their braidwood uses the same bus, why is there allofasudden a software problem? BS me says.

I agree - Personally from what I understand, it is nothing more than mishmash of turbo boost, ready boost, regular ole ram and pcie ssd as you said - stuff they have been working with for years.

I suspect that it just completely sucked the big one (like turbo & ready boost) when actually implemented - and given that it was the difference between P55 and P57, there would be an outcry if they charged $100 more for it and it blew chunks.

Still sounds like a scape-goat way out of a tech that is fail

Braidwood is just a glorified mainboard version of Robson, wasn't it? I don't know why they even bothered pursuing it further, considering the adoption rate and price lowering of SSD's these days.
