Technically, it's 6Gb/s, for the sake of accuracy.

It's a nice touch, although considering that a PCI-E x1 slot is going to top out at 500MB/s, not including any overhead and the fact that the slot will likely be routed through the PCH, I'm not sure how practical it will turn out to be.
