I really like Ziggy products and was hoping Thor was a winner. I am glad I picked up the Coolermaster instead.

I had pretty high expectations for this cooler its a shame that Xigmatek overlooked such important part of the unit, the base.

Sky or AKG will there be the possibility of seeing an update later on with the unit lapped?

All around a very good review nonetheless a shame to see such a costly unit get beat by some sub $40 units. I don't suspect will see something like this again from Xigmatek, I think they'll stick to their more value consciences units in the future.

Thanks for the read,

EE

Just put together an I7 rig with a Scythe Mugen 2, great cooler for less than 40 bucks, this is an ok cooler but way to expensive.

Yuck. With all the hype around it it really didn't show its potential. Prolimatech FTW :).

It really is too bad, isn't it? This thing had the potential but a horrible base killed performance.

Perhaps after Xiggy reviews this, they'll send you out a new one? Are you able to confirm that this wasn't a bad batch? I'd love to see a perfect one.

Judging from the base pictures on other sites' samples, it seem to be the norm.
