I think they're actually 2 different news items with similar titles:
- Westen Digital Ships Industry’s First 1TB Mobile Hard Drive | Hardware Canucks
- Western Digital Offers 1TB Passport Sized Portable Drive | Hardware Canucks

Sweet but a little pricey. Just bought a Seagate external 1TB 3.5" for $120. Granted it's only USB though. Still good deal imo.

Hehe ya,
they announced the release of the 1TB mobile drive... and then for some reason decided to announce separately, that they were putting the same drive into an external enclosure.

And for some reason thought it warranted to entirely separate press release

Why should companies pop eSATA on there when the kick-ass USB 3.0 / Superspeed USB spec is right around the corner?
