Logitec launches G9 mouse, updated G15

Can't see the thumb buttons in the pic- I assume there's two this time around- I'm really glad they updated the scroll wheel..

LOGITECH HAS LAUNCHED two new products that target gamers across the world, and once again, those two new products are a keyboard and a mouse. G9 is successor of G5, while G15 went through a major redesign.

G9 has a couple of added features, continuing to evolve the gaming line-up. These features should help gamers to enhance their competitiveness, or just add to the bling factor of current gaming peripherials.
The precision engine comes with upgraded resolution, all the way to 3200 dpi, and you can adjust the quality of imaging in 200-3200 dpi range. USB connection is souped up to 2.0 to transfer as much data as possible, raising up frequency from 100, 180 and 500 Hz of yesteryear - to 1000Hz, reminding us of age of Razer Boomslang in late 90s.

No! I only got the G5 and G15 last year! Those are both some sweet looking peripherals.

I guess a decent mouse should be next on my shopping list.... I'm still using the cheapest M$ or Logitek optical I can find..... :)

Really starting to hate this POS Logitech MX5000 Set. Total waste of $150 or whatever it costs I'd say. Using it in "Bluetooth" mode results in total failure. Impossible to use for any task. In its "Radio" mode, it works fine for normal stuff, but in gaming it can get a bit laggy.

The new G15 looks a lot sleeker to me, although I'd rather the blue lighting over the orange.

I really like my Razor, fits my hand style wayyyyy better than my MX 1000.

Which one? I like the looks of the DeathAdder myself, but I've never "felt" it as no store around here carries them with a display.

Diamondback, it depends on the style of how you hold your mouse, my mx1000 i would hold it laying my palm flat on the mouse, it never felt quite right, with the design of the razor you hold it almost claw like, my palm doesn't sit on the mouse back. Let me tell you what a difference it makes gaming, even turned down my sensitivity to what the MX1000 was to see the difference and it is huge in games. Also the logitech software could be a PITA, about every 20 reboots I would have to reconnect, sucked arse IMO.
Oh and the nice long left/right mouse buttons have to be used to be appreciated, the rubber feel is awesome and the action on them is like butter.
That said for the first 2 days I dint like the feel but after that wow, apples to oranges.

I wait for the day my perfect mouse is made: proper dual scroll wheels, high-res optics, multiple auxiliary buttons in remotely useful places, cordless, strainless natural hand position, and very wide grip. Definitely my perfect mouse for maximum productivity and comfort.
