And as the New York Times kindly stated:

Build 7600.16385, which Microsoft declared as Windows 7 RTM, or "release to manufacturing," earlier Wednesday, leaked to the Internet almost a week ago. On the BitTorrent tracking site Mininova.org, for example, that build first appeared July 16.
Nice way to get new people into BitTorrent

Hopefully I can have money ready for a Windows 7 build this fall but I doubt it. I will probably wait for DX11 cards and actual Windows 7 parts to hit shelves.

Windows 7 parts? You dont need special parts to run windows 7 lol. Im running the RTM on my laptop right now, it already had drivers for almost everything from setup, and the couple of things left over like the finger print scanner had drivers waiting on windows update.

What I mean are parts that were made after Windows 7, not a preexisting part that had drivers made to make it work after the fact. I wasn't a beta tester but I know Vista had horrible driver support out of the gate.

Window's 7 x64 in it's current form seems better than Vista x64 a year after it's release as far as hardware compatibility goes.

+1 agreement with that, i have run into no hardware compatibility issue where as i could not use both my sound card or my graphics card (i had at the time) to their full potentially under Vista

I actually stopped using Vista SP2 after two days on my upgraded machine and switched to Win7RC. Interestingly enough, it runs much better than Vista, which I shouldn't be too surprised about, considering Vista sort of sucks.

That is welcome news. From what I hear it should be a good OS, hopefully this means DX10/11 gets more support from developers.
