Default PSP Go @ E3 opening

BBC NEWS | Technology | PSP Go is the talk of E3 opening

Quote:
A new version of Sony's PlayStation Portable games console is expected to be launched at the E3 video games show.

Video and photos of the PSP Go have been leaked online, revealing a smaller, more lightweight console that has dropped the failed UMD disk format.

There have also been reports that Sony will announce a re-designed, slimmer PlayStation 3 but BBC News understands this will not be launched at E3.

The new PS3 model will be out later this year, BBC News understands.

Not impressed.

What they need is a GPS service, THEN I'll think about buying it.

I liked the "fake" renders when the rumors were floating about. A thin-border large display with the controls hidden underneath would've looked far, far better. This, however, is approaching nGage ugliness...

I believe the top screen portion still "slides" open to reveal the controls but that is why I have an issue with it. I used to have a Noika slide phone and guess what the first thing that broke was? Yup, the slide. Expect the same out of this thing.

Same I have a qwerty keyboard that slides out, it is already sticking and jamming.

Thing is uglier than sin.

If no one saw it... have you seen where the Analog stick is ... totally not ergonomic... I can't see myself playing that console with that control layout.

Personally, I think this thing will push more people to the iPod. It isn't even that it's ugly; it just isn't functional for someone who is always on the go.

BOTH of them are horrible. What about people with large hands?

The old PSP is still the winner IMHO.

Yup, and guess what, you can get all those games downloaded on your PSP aswell! So, go grab a PSP 3000 series and forget about the UMD. Also the size is ridiculously small...
