Please note that Toms was blacklisted a while back for benchmark cheating and recommending ONLY the brands that THEY like...

Since then I have not trusted them a bot.

Is there a version of this story on a RELIABLE site?

Looks like THG was just reporting THIS second-hand.

The whole thing is a little tiresome, really. Catering to different markets is important, but when you're blatantly borking your own product, you're doing something wrong.

Yep. Even though they are under new ownership now...I cannot bring myself to trust them.

Who knows how many rotten apples remained behind.

Ah well that news to me. I always saw that the benchmarks were always in Intel / NVIDIA favor though... But what I would do for the Starter edition if they only want to ship on netbook, I would restrict the resolution instead of applications. That would restrict companies to make 13" Netbooks and also, you would have the power of Windows 7
