Default Diablo, Warcraft going to the big screen

If you have a look at Legendary Pictures (who brought such films as 300, Superman returns, Batman Begins, and Forest Gump Perambulates- just kidding about the latter) you'll notice that two of their films in development are Diablo and W.O.W......wow!

This is disgusting! All other game-to-movie movies sucked for most parts. Wing Commander was OK, but changed way too much. Tome Raider was OK. The rest were craptastic.

No offence to WOW players, but the only people going to see this is WOW nerds.

Yeah- I have no interest in the WOW movie, but there is potential for the Diablo movie to be interesting, and it will probably be the harbinger of a Diablo 3 game- although with movie hype along with its legendary pedegree to drive sales of a follow-up game, I hope that it doesn't mean that the quality stinks as with other movie games.

However, as movie graphics and game graphics continue to converge in terms of visual quality- we might see something amazing come out of this. If they are teaming up a Diablo 3 game with this movie, I suppose there could be the potential for them to share more than just the occasional between-board movie clip which might make for some great gaming effects- I have no idea really, just musing.

Honestly I agree that only WoW nerds will see it... But at this point, that's a big enough market to make a movie for them...

I'm a WOW player but I don't think a movie would be a good, Diablo on the hand could be interesting. One game to movie that was done quite well was Silent Hill.

Surely they'd know better! Then again, maybe they just plan on chopping "Dungeon Siege" up a bit, changing the saturation, and calling it diablo.
