Default Pioneer getting out of the Plasma TV industry

Plasma TVs on the Way Out; Still Best - Tom's Guide

Looks like pioneer along with vizio are no longer going to be making plasma televisions. In the onther link at the top of that story it says that they planned to outsource plasma panel making to panasonic and that wont happen now, and they likely wont even make dvd players themselves anymore. Guess plasma tvs arent very profitable or they just didnt manage themselves well enough. Hopefully its not like the bluray/hddvd faisco where best buy discontinuing hddvd support brought down the entire format
