I for one am excited i hope they bring out a successor to the NF-P12 Preferably in the range of 1500-2000 rpm my 6 Nf-P12's are running strong and quiet.
I can still remember the days of my Thermaltake Volcano cpu fan that thing would blow so hard i could hear it downstairs. A lot of people complain about price but often times their in the range of 11-14 dollars which i think is a steal. Hopefully they make ones with lights that would be a cool effect for my Cosmos S case.

I really dont mind the colour in fact its unique and bold.....bold and unique lol but ive had quite a long time with it to get used too... i mean if they did have to change its colour now i know their logo's are white and red they could have a fully white fan with Red Lightining it would look pretty sick.

I like your guys enthusiasm, but IMO Noctua will likely never release an LED fan and I know we would all like to see a different colour fan. As Dashock said "bold and unique" and thats exactly what Noctua would like to be and I don't see any major changes coming anytime soon. I think Noctua's focus as its always been is highly efficient, high qaulity and quiet operation and I doubt their focurs will change we will only see good products become great products.

I agree EE, but I wonder how many sales are lost because of that??

Sometimes, besides function...its the looks that make the deal for us when we purchase something.

I think retail fans represents a pretty small portion of their sales and you can get Noctua products all across the world.

I wouldn't go so far to say that EE, perhaps if you chose one country to state that it would work. But think if they took a couple of percent of the Market share globally for Retail Fan Sales, because they carried more lines that Customers/end users wanted.
That would probably be a fair chunk of coin in their pocket for doing that.
Couple that with using said fans on their HSF , and suddenly you have the potential for a larger influx of customers. Combine Quality + Design + Looks(Customer appeal) and suddenly you have a winning combination.

My thoughts,

Regardless, anything new from Noctua will be great! Sure the color scheme isn't the greatest at first, but it really grows on you haha. I'm actually amazed at how quiet the P12s are compared to the Antec case fans....at any speed.

Silence is fleshy brown goodness and I'll take Encorp word anyday thats for sure.

I gave away all my Antec TRI-Cools that I got with the case plus 2 retail fans, figured someone could better appreciate them more than I did.
