Default EA needs PLAYTESTERS in VANCOUVER AREA
So, the word travelled down the vine, and it's my job to shout it out to the world...so...

man i'd love to get a playtesting job here in montreal. I'm an avid gamer and i'm in Computer Science, hoping to become a computer programmer later on. I have a few friends that do it and i encourage anyone in vancouver who needs some cash to give it a shot.

I had the chance to do this for Ubisoft here in Montreal a few years back. Let me tell you; it is the most boring job ever but I guess it may look good on paper. My job at the time was basically allowing the character to hit against literally every wall in the game to make sure collision detection was set up properly. This went on for nearly two weeks.

Yeah, it's not always fun, but overlords, you can still use the app page, and they should forward it on to those that need it. It's just the PlayTesters are needed NOW in Vancouver, as BlackBox recently had a wave of lay-offs...not sure if this of for a BlackBox game, but one must imagine so...

I've always wanted to try this out, but working f/t and family etc... I just don't see it happening. Ah well. Just out of curiosity... do these play tester jobs actually pay money? And if so, how much usually?

From what I heard no.

Its mostly volunteer time.. but I could be wrong.

Pretty plain to me...you usually spend 2-3 nights (3-4 hours), and you get the title, in the minimum. Last time I did this I got about 25 EA-distributed titles.

I usually work on online console titles though...not too sure what this is for.
