Some info for you

The target price is $450 US. At that price, you get crappy onboard with no eax (can be argued thats its getting pointless now, but its not pointless YET) and no interchangable northbridge cooler. For the price and the that kind of lack of features, I'm officially turned off from this mobo.

However, if you really MUST have 3x SLI AND PhysX (although then I think you got too much money to burn) and some kind of a pci-e x1 device, then I suppose this is a MUST for you.

However, seeing as the evga x58 regular got such lackluster reviews, I'd really have to wonder why you'd choose a high end mobo from them and not from gigabyte, asus or foxconn.

I think I'll wait until SATA 600 and USB 3.0 show up before upgrading.

Waiting for that tech isn't really be an upgrade since you'll need all new parts for pretty much everything.

$450 is freakin' crazy expensive

Nice Zlojack!

Let us know how it turns out... and if you don't mind me asking how much did the total step up come to with tax and shipping? I have another month and a half to step up if I wanted to.

I love the way that thing looks. They finally have a really good layout of slots and a bad-ass color scheme as well. Imagine telling someone what kind of setup you have. Haha, "On the same board?!"

That price is rather painful though. I think I'll wait until some competitors take to the field, which shouldn't be long. At least, I hope it doesn't take long. And I hope the price drops, of course.

For now, I'll stick with the other eVGA board.

(Is everyone sure there isn't some small fan hidden in that monstrous heatsink?)
