That is BAD. It means there is either no money in the rebate account or the account has been totally frozen due to the Chapter 11 filing.

I thought the Ch.11 filing was in the US, though? So why can they pay off US rebates but not Canadian?

.... OR people are PROPERLY filling their rebate forms (big grin) Those companies make money off of a percentage of rejected claims, and they anticipate a certain percentage - I guess people are more careful now and actually send properly filled forms

I trust BFG more than anything - I always deal with them and never had ANY problems with my rebates - I check through rebatestatus.com and have not had any issues yet. It's GOOD that BFG will issue you a new check if yours gets bounced and all (I hope they also cover the administrative fees :D)
