Default ATI Catalyst 8.10 Drivers Released

That's right folks, AMD have just released the latest iteration of the ATI Catalyst drivers, now up to version 8.10.

Along with fixing a few bugs, this driver release supports a few new features:
Catalyst Control Center™ Fan speed control
This release of the ATI software driver version 8.54 introduces the ability for users to control the speed of the GPU fan when running in accelerated graphics.
Force Component Video Detection
This release allows users the option in Catalyst Control Center to force Component Video detection in the Display Options aspect. By selecting this option user are able to adjust the Component Video property settings (without a device being physically attached) allowing user to change format and frequency to a desired value. The selected values will be applied to the display once a component video display device get connected. The feature is applicable for all AMD products supporting Component Video.

Would you believe I just got a Palit 4850 Sonic 512MB last night and downloaded the whole 8.9 driver suite, now going to do it all again for 8.10.

Wow 8.10 is great ATI has really been showing up in the driver department these days..I had a dirty driver issue with 8.9 but that was my own bad really....but they have been very steady releasing new drivers regularity and monthly like the red tide itself..only better....much better. anyways.... I cannot believe they actually built the fan controller in....holy crap it's like they are listening and trying to keep themselves in the better thoughts of their customers....keep it up ATI keep it up.
