i don't know about you guys, but this comes as no surprise to me. I'll only comment on [H] consumer, as i never had an interest in [H] console, or consol games in general.

consumer took too hard of a line against system builders to be an equitable business model. "dont bite the hand that feeds you" is perhaps the simplest way to boil it down. While consumers (me included) liked it when [H] nailed companies to the cross for shabby customer support, high end gaming systems that came up lame, and any other new-system-crap-ism that fell from the sky it did have one major flaw... it made for interesting and entertaining reading BUT it alienated system builders from wanting to participate in the [H] consumer program.

It's cute that [H] wanted to do the right thing, take the high road, and stand up for us consumers like some W5, 60 minutes, barbara walters sort of special... The sad truth to all this is that you prolly need to be a non-profeit consumer watch sort of organization to really pull it off.

Thanks for taking a run at it tho [H], your consumer section will be missed.
