I've been seriously looking at the Corsair HX1000, but I'm not sure if theres another company who offers good quality products. Is FSP any good, or Enermax?

Any recommendations are welcome, oh and my budget is sub $300 before tax, lower is better.

Well, it appears my Tagan has crapped out. I have been experiencing a few glitches for the last week or so. Over the last few weeks, my apartment has been experiencing power flickers and power losses due to "building upgrades". During the last unannounced power outage, my pc refused to power back up. It did power up after about half an hour or so. Just yesterday I powered it down for the night and today it will not power up at all. The green mb LED used to be quite bright but now is now a little bit dull with a very slight flicker. PSU is also making a very faint buzzing noise but will not power up. I was getting momentary response from my ram cooler when hitting the power button, but nothing at all now.

I am now looking for a new power supply. The specs are in my sig except for 2 dvd drives. Also note that I require the PSU to be future-proofed for SLI (future video cards), an additional RAID array (0+1) and GPU-CPU coolers.

I am looking for a reputable psu brand with a budget of between $120-$200 before taxes. Any suggestions?

Thanks...

You can start a new thread you know...

At any rate, I'd suggest the Corsair 750TX. It's got the necessary plugs, the necessary power output, is well-built, and is one of the quietest power supplies in its range. And it can usually be found in the middle of your price-range.

PC Power Silencer PSU's are nice and solid, as well as running on the quiet side.

+1 for Corsair TX750.
You can take a look at BFG ES-800 too. Or if you want a PSU server grade Etasis 750.

Thanks for all your help. I have found a fantastic deal on an Antec 850 true power quattro at a local retailer for $148 taxes included. I like the semi-modular cabling.

The TPQ 850 fits the bill. I fired it up for the first time last night with the coolit freezone installed that I recently purchased. Time to ramp it up! Thanks again for all your suggestions.
