Default Do you think Corsair AXi worth the premium?

Do you think Corsair AXi worth the premium? If not what are some better choices for around the same price? ~200-sthCAD?

what wattage range are you looking at? Seasonic X and G series are very good.

I currently have an AX850 so I guess ~1000W for future proof? I am debating whether I should add another 7970 or sell it and upgrade it

IMO unless you are pushing high OC on CPU and GPUs then you would be fine with crossfire 7970 on the AX850. Definitely would be fine with a single new GPU.

I have an AX860 and AX1200i. I would just get a normal AX not AXi line. I think the Corsair link monitoring feature is gimmicky.

AXi is worth it for one reason, and one reason only. Flextronics as the OEM.
Flex is one of two OEMs right now with Titanium Rated PSU's, and their QC is top notch.

For my pricey Hardware I have confidence in only AX PSU.......here's is my next one.....finally the perfect amont of PCI-E connectors for Tri SLi....multi EPS 12v Mobo and additional 6 Pin PCI-E power for Mobo....sweet.....pricey for sure but will last "forever"!!!

I have 3 1200i's and am happy with them, they will run 100% load with the fan at roughly 50%.... that said unless you are going to abuse them, or need the higher wattage then the AX is a great line as well. Keep an eye out on AXi sales they can be as cheap as the AX line.

Ding ding ding!! When on sale I've seen them range from 5 bucks more expensive ...to 4 bucks less than the Ax model of the same(ish) size.

I didnt always like Flextronics...but their latest kit is simply stellar. When a budget can stretch to 'AX' levels...I always use the AXi. ;)

Yes but for a simple sli / CF setup his AX 850 is plenty good enough.
