My System Specs

RM line has multiple OEMs/platforms, so each may be better or worse at their respective price points. Make sure you check out the specific model you are looking into.

CWT is OEM for 450/550/650w
Chicony is the OEM for the 750w and 850w model
CWT again for 1000w on a different platform.

Late reply...
I've had a RM750 in my PC for over a year now. My build does not have many power hungry components (no gfx card) and I have never heard the fan on the power supply spin up. If it has, then it's very silent. I believe the PSU remains silent as long as it's under 40% load, so even if I throw in a video card it should stay silent at idle.
I wanted my computer to be as quiet as possible because I like to dabble with music production, so would recommend it for that purpose.

That is complete overkill though. You have probably never pulled 150w from it.

Correct, and that is probably the reason why the fan never turned on for me. If I went with a lower spec version, like the 450 W, then maybe I would have crossed that load threshold on occasion. I was also unsure if I was going to get a video card back then so I wanted the extra headroom.
