Which 1500w PSU is Best?
We all have our preferences, so this can be a bit subjective. I thought I had bought an EVGA until I found out it wasn't even shipped, let alone located in their warehouse...:blarg: Too damn expensive compared to all of the others!!!

A decent rating, quieter than the others,...How quiet does a 1500w run at full load? Not quietly from what I've read so far. Not that I expect to run this thing all out, but the MC 1500w gets pretty loud after 1000 w from what I've read in

the reviews. It seems the EVGA psu is similar that way...

Since reading a bit more about it I cancelled the order, since I want it this year...lol.

Now I need some expert opinions on the best 1500w psus. It has to support quad sli/xfire.

Thought getting a good psu this size would be pretty easy...:blarg:

Why 1500W? if it's for quad sli.. you don't really need it. 1200W should be enough. I'd be more concerned about having enough connections.

Have dual 780's myself and the fan doesn't even come on on my 1000W(got it at a bargain, only reason) which should spin up at 50% load.. (or at least if it does it's MUCH quieter than my GPU's :D )

Enermax Maxrevo 1500W Review

Gets good review, 9.6/10.. The EVGA got 7.5 I think.

I did take a good look at it. If I hadn't bought an EVGA I likely would've bought it or the Platimax.

Silverstone Strider ST1500 1500W ATX 24PIN Fully Modular 80+ Silver Power Supply w/ 135mm Silent Fan

Silverstone Strider 1.5 kW

for Quad SLi...OC'd I7....some Watercooling...lots of Fans, I'd certainly be considering 1.5 kW for sure....if not just for all the PCI-E connectors ;)

I thought you canceled the order and were still looking? or do you mean when you were initially looking?

My AX 1200W simply doesnt have enough PCI-E connectors for Quad SLi (any GPU with 2 x 6+2 Pin).........not to meniton I wouldnt trust it with 4 GPU's and everything OC'd to the nut ;)

Thats true for trying to reach absolute max OC's and stressing but in general day to day even with a decent oc 1200W should be plenty.

Are you planning on running quad 580s or Titans? You really are crazy if you are going to be running Quad Titans!

Yeah I'm crazy enough to do it, though right now I just want to be able to quad sli anything....

EVGA SuperNova for cheaper than my previous purchase by approx.$80.

EVGA Supernova NEX1500 1500W Classified Enthusiast Grade Modular Power Supply

While all suggestions were appreciated, and ALL were checked, if I didn't get this 1 the Enermax seemed like the next best choice. ENERMAX - Product

ENERMAX - Product

All the psus this high start to get loud when it gets over roughly 60% of full load.

Sure wish Corsair made a 1500w psu. Love my AX1200!!!That thing had tri titan sli and didn't blink once!
