Corsair HX850 and sli 770's?
I just got an i7 3930 up and running and I'm half toying with the idea of a pair of 770's, I don't really need them, but I haven't played with an SLI setup in a while, not since my last GTX460's, and it was 8800's before that, and 6800's before that, so given what I'm now seeing as a trend of skipping generations between SLI setups, I think it might be that time again for absolutely no legitimate or practical reason

I'm looking over some reviews, and depending which one I look at, because the numbers vary, I'm thinking my HX850 might be border-lining the requirements, or at least new the bare minimum.

Although this one shows the requirements to be closer to 600w, so since I'm not overclocking, I'm 98.6% positive I'm safe, just looking for opinions

At max load with overclocks you MIGHT be pushing it but it should be fine (how often do you go to max load?)

This is on:
Processor: Intel i7 3930K @ 4.5GHz
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32GB @ 1866MHz
Motherboard: ASUS P9X79 WS
Cooling: Corsair H80
SSD: 2x Corsair Performance Pro 256GB
Power Supply: Corsair AX1200

Second card should be no trouble.

I would say your good to go, but I wouldn't push big overclocks.

You'll be fine...even OC'd!!!

Yeah what's the issue here? I run a GTX690 (effectively dual 680s) on an AX850 with an i7 3930k at 4.4GHz. No issues at all.

You're perfect, go for it.

that's what I figured. like I said, I was 98.6% sure, but yeah, probly next month, I'll get card number 1. and card number 2 can come around my bday in octover. had to promise the wife I wouldn't spend any more money on hardware this month, it proven to be challenging so far
