Default Best value of these options?

Quick question..

Akasa Venom 850w(Gold) AK-PA085AM03-UK @$180
vs
XFX 850W XXX (silver) P1-850B-UKB9 @ $155
vs my current (have heard CM aren't as bad as they used to be so not sure about this one, and I got it free, only reason I'm using it)
3 yrs old - CM GX 750 W (not sure of manufacturer code to see what version it is, will check when I get home)

Point being I'm heading home soon and PSU's are cheaper there than here... I may be looking into a second 670 soon and this CM is LOUD too.. suggestions on if the CM is ok(not for dual cards) and which of the other 2 is the better buy?

(Yes we REALLY get screwed on PSU prices)

There aren't any reviews of the akasa from my prefered psu review sites, but what I did find show it as a decent power supply that does meet gold efficiency, but was far from flawless for all the rails and also a bit below avg for soldering. The xfx is an older seasonic design that is tried and tested. the only downside being slightly worse efficiency IMO.

I would go for the xfx of those two.

Right, I'm headed home next week and I've found a few more options that actually come into my price-range..

Opinions on:
The xfx above $155
Rozetka.ua | Antec High Current Pro HCP-850 $165 (This is out of stock, no idea if / when it will come back)

These are from the UK, have free shipping, inc tax but I would have to fit them in my suitcase..

Corsair Professional AX860 Fully Modular 80 PLUS.. | Ebuyer.com $201
Corsair 850W HX 80PLUS Gold Modular PSU | Ebuyer.com $190
Corsair 850W AX850 Modular PSU | Ebuyer.com $178

No idea what they are like:
Fractal Design Tesla 800W 80 Plus Gold PSU | Ebuyer.com $150
Fractal Design Tesla 1000W 80 Plus Gold PSU | Ebuyer.com $207

At the moment I'm on the verge of ordering the AX860
But my budget has to stretch to a 670 DC II as well...

Not sure about the fractal design ones. The others I would put in this order for quality:

Hx and the xfx<ax850<ax860. Not sure exactly where the antec would fall, but is very good as well ( but out of stock).

There is nothing wrong with any of them. You call if its worth the extra cash.

Anyone familiar with the Fractal ones? the 800W for 150 is very tempting if it's any good.
If not I think the 860 platinum is the leader.

Whats there difference Between the AX and HX 850 golds?

I have the AX860i on order for my new PC.
I am also going with 2 GTX670's and thought/hope the AX860i would handle the load.
Here is a AX860i review and this a good site for PSU reviews IMO if you want to search through.
Corsair AX860i 860W Power Supply Review
I got my AX860i for $210.

It'll be plenty of power for 2 670's. I'm just trying to figure out the best possible value of PSU's as we get ripped off over here on components and especially PSU's.

I'm leaning toward the 860 (no i, thats a whole lot more) but the AX 850 Gold there and the Fractals are puzzling me a bit as I'm not sure what the story is with them.
Have to say I'm not very into the in's and out's of PSU's but I do want good quality (and much quieter than my current)

Anyone fancy volunteering to scour the UK/Ireland and Ukraine for for the best value high quality 850W+ preferably 80+ gold PSU? (Didn't think so)

anyone know anything about the fractal PSU's?

thinking of getting one of these if they are any good:
Fractal Design Tesla 800W 80 Plus Gold PSU | Ebuyer.com
Fractal Design Newton 800W 80 Plus Platinum Modular PSU | Ebuyer.com

Fractal Design Tesla 1000W 80 Plus Gold PSU | Ebuyer.com
Fractal Design Newton 1000W 80 Plus Platinum Modular PSU | Ebuyer.com

From the bumpf I see Capacitors - Taiwanese and 3yr warranty on the Tesla's and Jap caps and 5 yr warranty on the Newtons.
Would probably go the newtons for the extra warranty but then there is no point in having a long warranty if the PSU is dung..
