Thanks for the info, I will definitely pick up a 850/860W if it goes on sale. Just curious what fans are you using with your H100? Also what temps are you getting?

If you are in no rush (since your system has ample power from the X3 PSU) wait for them to launch.
Probably some of the best units out there if you look at how the AX1200i was designed.

Even if the AX series is being phased out they are still great power supplies and will continue to be. PSU's don't have a ton of resell value anyways and I doubt the OP is planning to sell it ever. We are talking PSU's here not CPU or mobo.

I say there is nothing wrong with grabbing an AX series. Of course it wouldn't hurt to grab an AXi if op can wait but no need to wait.

I have 4 Noctua NF-P12-1300 on my H100(I like a combo of silence/performance), As for temps I tend to run my OC as high as it will let me and stay running ~50C since things tend to crash around 60C. The 8350 looks like it can run hotter so I will have to see safe temps on it. the 8150 got up to 4.7Ghz for me 24/7 stable.

Nice overclock, right now i have my 970 at 4.0GHz at 1.45v gaming and encoding video temps don't go near 50c but when I try to run Prime95 it crashes in 20min even though the temps don't reach 60c. It's probably because i damaged my cpu from lapping lol

I just got the AX850 from Canada Computers they price matched NCIX without hassle. Installing it now...

aahhhhh! I have some custom cables I made for a couple of latching and momentary switches now need to buy some molex pins and housing so it's compatible with the AX850.

Other than that it installed without a hitch very nice psu, still has that fresh paint smell. The 24pin cable is a it too thick though and the sata cables are kind of short for a full towers case.

I never said the original AX was not, I think they are fantastic units. But the new AX and AXi are worth every penny we can give them. However it looks like the OP already grabbed what he needed.

I just picked up the Corsair AX860i :)

Will wait till Intel Retail Edge goes live to order the i3770K then I can rebuild my current rig with new parts:

Phantom 820 Gunmetal Gray (upgrading from White Switch 810)
Custom loop rebuild adding dedicated PhysX card to my existing GTX680 w/Swiftech Copper Block (got MSI GTX460 1GB w/Koolance GPU block from HWC forum member)
i2700K upgrading to i3770K
Swapping out NZXT HALE90 1000W 80Plus Gold for the AX860i 80Plus Platinum
2x OCZ Vertex 3 120GB in RAID from current Intel 520 180GB SSD (will become dedicated game drive)

Never look forward to full rebuild, but its rewarding once its all done...full weekend project -- perfect for the holiday season.
