My System Specs

Default EVGA GTX 570 SLI Power Requirements

I recently purchased a second EVGA GeForce GTX 570 HD 2560MB graphics card for 2-way SLI. I currently have a Corsair TX750 V2 Power Supply.

Before I install my 2nd card, is it recommended to upgrade my PSU? I was thinking of either an AX or HX 850 PSU. (both 80+ Gold Certified now and very similar in price) However, if my TX750 is enough I'd rather not spend the money.

Thanks.

Other system specs:
Asus P8Z77-V PRO Motherboard
Intel Core i7-3770K CPU overclocked to 4.56GHz,
Corsair H60 CPU Cooler,
32GB (4 x 8GB) Corsair Vengeance RAM (1600MHz)
3 SSD's & 1 HDD
1 Blu-ray Rewriter

One of my home systems has two of the same graphics card as you have mentioned and I'm running a 750W PSU with no problems so far... and I fold on it 24/7. Now that being said, I don't run an overclock on my CPU so that might be pushing it a little.

Your TX750 V2 will be more than sufficent.

Update: My new EVGA GTX 570 HD arrives on Monday. In the mean time, I went ahead and got a new PSU. I know my TX750 was sufficient, but I love upgrading my system when I can. I ended up getting a Seasonic Platinum-860W PSU. I just finished installing it. It's fully modular so it really cleaned up my system, and it's not as loud under load. I look forward to testing everything once my 2nd graphics card is installed.

Congrats on the upgraded gpu and psu. I also think the 750w would have been fine, but now you have new and shiny
