Default SEASONIC X-760 (SS-760KM Active PFC F3) Any Good?

Friend of mine who I helped out his cousin (the poor kid who has a disability) Came by my house and gave me the above PSU, its brand new in box as he won it at some door crasher sale. Is it any good? he said he wants me to use it or donate it to another kid in need.

Should I swap my Thermaltake for the Seasonic or should I donate it or do another contest?

What do we think :)

How old is your TT unit and which model? Its almost a 100% guarentee that the X series from seasonic is better.
Swap em ,

Old platform, far from the best. Replace it for sure.

No match indeed, the X-760 is far superior. I've got an older X-750 which was constantly running various power hungry GPUs for 3 years or so - And it's rock stable, runs very cool and quiet.

When i was looking to replace my old PSU, I was looking at the Seasonic X series and the Corsair AX series. In my opinion they are equal to each other. I went with the Corsair because it was on sale at the time. Other then that the Seasonic is a fantastic PSU. Not cheap either.

Keep it, use it, love it.

I already bought a nice forum member the AX1200 so my PSU spending is always limited but I will leave my comment of my 850 TR2 for the rants haha going to the Seasonic tonight

TT is not even close. X-760 is the only PSU I would buy in that power range. If you intend to sell it, I'd buy it.
