Yes you can and will have plenty of room.

Could also be a problem with the MOBO PCI-E slot.
Try different slot if you have some free one.

Of course try your brother PSU since it could be a PSU problem

A system with a I7 965 and a 460 at full load pull around 300W from the wall so don't worry for the 500W PSU it will be moooooore then enough.

Tried the 460, same thing.

Took out 5 sticks of ram and left 1. Moved 460 to 2nd pci-e slot.

BF3 hung up. But system DID NOT crash. I just had to end process.hmmmmm

Going to test 1 stick at a time.

Is it possible I may have to reseat CPU or something is wrong with CPU ????

It runs OCCT CPU stress test (regular and linpack) just fine.

Yes it could be a bad CPU seating.
as it could be a dead PCI-e controller lane
as it could be a fairy sticked behind your mobo.

At this point your problem seems very hard to find but we'll work as one and you will find it :)

Thanks I appreciate the help.

I'm running memtest86+ v4.00 1 stick at a time now. 3 passes should be good ?

After double checking the ram, I'll reseat the CPU.

Also, I think my PSU may be faulty. It sometimes doesn't work and I have to switch the cables.

It also didn't work when I tried it on my brother's PC. He was in a hurry so I didn't get to test it much.

Corsair accepted the RMA claim so I'll get it replaced anyway. Hopefully they will upgrade it to the 1050W since they don't make the 1000W anymore :)

The problems may have all started with the PSU and crossed over to the motherboard.

Corsair should take care of you, they cross shipped my HX520 rma when I was having a problem with a board saving bios settings.

Also for future reference you have to be careful when you're swapping components around like that to test, when I was doing that with my hx520 it actually killed my cousins motherboard and we had to get that replaced.

So here is what's happened.

Memtest passes the sticks 1 at a time, then all at once.
I installed everything in my new FT 02 (awesome case).
Reseated CPU.

When powering on, it does 1 long beep, 3 short beeps.
Manual says that means "no VGA detected"

I tried different 12v gpu connectors and different PCIE slots. Same beeps and screen stays black.

However if I try my old 8800 GTS's it boots fine but BF3 still crashed.

Did the PSU kill my video card and/or mobo ????

Definatly could be a psu with some unclean power that kill a GPU.

You already have a RMA ticket for the PSU so I would RMA it, corsair will send you a nice and new unit. Also RMA the GPU since the board seems fine in basic test. If problem persist, then RMA the bard. I am pretty sure the problem isn;t anywhere out of these part.
Glad you love the FT02 it's a awesome beast :)

Keep us up to date!
