Default Who makes cougar psu's?

So I'm looking to get a psu for my left over parts build that I will be working on in a few weeks(the psu is the only part I don't have). I was looking to make a orange/black themed build and found this: Cougar Cmx Series 700CMX 700W ATX 24PIN 54A 12V 80PLUS Bronze 140MM Modular Power Supply - Cougar - 700CMX. So who makes these PSUs? and how reliable are they?

HEC, they aren't too bad actually.
Not the best, but far from the Worst.

I've been interested in their power supplies as well. Was looking specifically at the GX-700 as I love the colour scheme. All the reviews were positive and while not quite as good as Corsair or Seasonic they don't seem to be too far behind. Will probably pick one up if it ever goes on sale again at NCIX.

They are not ones that I would think right out of the Box to reccomend to a customer or friend, however they are definetly some of HEC's better units. And on sale or in a pinch I would probably use one.

Ok so I guess they wouldn't be so bad for a left over parts build to do folding on.

I couldn't agree more. In fact I have never recommended them haha. To be honest I just love the look of it and thought it would match a gold/copper colour scheme that I've been trying to build.

I like the SX series 850W or SX 700W
heard good things about Cougar PSU. Think they be good for a new build.

Dunno the specifics on the cougar series, but most of HEC offerings are far from real enthusiast gear...
Maybe they pushed the envelope with the Cougar line....
