Ok here is my current system: (keep in mind i am still upgrading)
CPU:AMD FX-8150 @3.6ghz(some say it sucks, but i have been running with it for 2weeks now,and i am very happy with it)
CPU COOLER:Cooler Master Hyper 212+
MOBO:ASUS ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
GPU:EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SE 1GB(will be upgrading soon to an XFX black edition 7970)
RAM:2x4GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1600mhz
CASE:Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
PSU:Ultra X-Pro 600w
HDD: Seagate 1.5TB SATA II
I am now trying to pick a power supply, i have 2 i am looking at,one is a Corsair, the other is a Cougar (which if i remember right is the brand of a PSU you used in your test bench for a while,or you may still be using it idk lol) and i would like to know if you would suggest that brand PSU? cause it is cheaper than the Corsair, and that extra saved money would help me to get an SSD later.
If this helps here are the 2 PSU's i am looking at:
Corsair
Corsair Professional Series HX1050 1050W ATX 12V 87A 24PIN ATX 80PLUS Silver Modular Power Supply - Corsair - CMPSU-1050HX
Cougar
Cougar Cmx Series 1000CMX 1000W ATX 24PIN 80A 12V 80PLUS Bronze 140MM Modular Power Supply - Cougar - 1000CMX
Some of you might say that much wattage is over kill, but i want to be able to have the option to load up my mobo with parts with out having to change PSU's agian, also i plan to use the PSU till it dies on me.
P.S. Linus, i did not get the Crosshair V mobo like you suggested, cause i picked one up,and the rig would not boot, and it turned out i would have to do a bios update, and i did not have an AM3 cpu to do so,and the store i bought it at would do it for me,but they woulf of charged me 40$,and i would had to of left it overnight, and i live 50 miles from that store,so that was a no go,i looked at the store at the intel mobo, and there were none in my price range that the stuff i wanted, but the Sabertooth 990FX was sitting there and said FX firmware ready.
Thank you so much linus(and anyone else) for the help.
