what are the top 5 power supplies less than 85$?
my choice is OCZ ModXStream-Pro 600W but i m not sure

At that price I would feel safer suggesting an Antec or Corsair Builder series PSU.

I was able to pick up an XFX 650 for $89, with a $30 MIR I forgot to send it :doh:

I would go with an Antec, or Corsair if $85 was my max.

Corsair TX 650w v2 for $79.99, but I think the sale ends tonight.

Other models that are a great bang for buck in that wattage/price range depending on sales are Antec neo eco 620w, Seasonic S12II/M12II 620w, Antec True power new 650w.

Of the links I posted I would go for the XFX for the 30 MIR, but they are all good power supplies.

I would take any of these models over the OCZ

Specs like that mean nothing.

What matters in a Power supply is Voltage Regualtion, Ripple suppression (Noise) etc etc

Agreed. Like I said above, I would take any of the power supplies I listed over the OCZ.

Yeah its a two year old Platform already, that should say everything about not getting one.
And the methodology isn't as up to par as other sites out there.

End of the Day if you want to get it for yourself go for it, but most of us here wouldn't put in an old OCZ PSU if you paid us to do it.

The Newest ZS ones however are actually much better platforms.
